Akua Island (Not a real place)

An Island somewhere in between Subtropic High and the Tropics if it existed. The colours were chosen thinking of warm currents on the south and cold currents on the north. Added in a few minerals and deposit to get the final look. Although a small island like this is not likely to have this much variation, When Inspiration strikes, you answer
Base shape is an elongated gradient blob, and the main structure comes from (Outcrops). Adding a little warp and Erosion first to add a bit more variety. Weathering + Shear creates some nice variations for the color variations.

Please attach a grid of how you achieved this so that others can learn from it. It will be useful and interesting.

It’s well worth noting the OP did mention some of their explorations and discoveries which you can absolutely utilise.

To help maximise some usage If you’re learning I highly recommend further exploration based on it, think of it as lego just using blockas and filling your imagination and leveling you up too

Here i took all the keywords and references mentioned and spent 10/15mins coming up with my own idea from it for the terrain shape.

Hope that helps some

Brilliant!
Very interesting how different artists apply the same concept in their own way. I still do this when I see a great looking terrain, to take the main idea and recreate it on my own. I prefer that over looking at the actual graph. Best way to learn!!

I added Outcrops and Shear in a different way than @TyXanders but we ended up with the same results :)
