EZ Gaea Node - Bilingual Support application

Hi Gaea Team,

I am a user with Professional license, and I have create a small independent Windows application to help users whose first language is not English better understand and use Gaea.
The application uses the publicly available Gaea documentation as its reference source:

It currently supports English, Chinese, and bilingual display. (I can keep support more language if I can publish this application online)

Users can:

  • Manually search for nodes and read their descriptions, parameters, and usage guidance.
  • Click a node in Gaea and have the application automatically display the corresponding documentation.

For automatic recognition, the application reads information exposed by Gaea’s interface through Windows UI Automation, such as the property panel heading and control labels. It matches that information against a local documentation library. This feature is read only and does not change node parameters or modify Gaea itself.

With my understanding is that the MIT license permits reuse and redistribution, provided that the required copyright and permission notices are included. I have include the full MIT license in application, the QuadSpinner copyright notice, and links to the original documentation for all the node .

Translations are identified as third-party translations. But, before publishing the application online, I would just like to confirmation on the following:

  1. With the required notices and attribution, can I publish this application online inlude the translation for other language if I list them as third party translation ?
  2. Is the read only automatic node recognition feature described above permitted under Gaea’s applicable license terms? If it against the rule , i can remove this feature and keep the search bar when I try to publish this online.

My idea is to make Gaea easier to learn for the people don’t have english as their first language and while respecting the rule and licensing requirements. Attachment will be a screenshot anda video Demo Video (google Drive)

Great support for Gaea 2!

You’ll be happy to know that Gaea 3 is multi-lingual as well, helping more users who are < C1 ESL or non-english in general.

For unsupported languages in Gaea 3 there will be an additional open community architecture[1] to continue building and sharing languages.

Best of luck with your continued support.
