Suggestion: Public Read Access to Improve Search and AI Support

Hello,

I’d like to suggest allowing public read-only access to the forum without requiring login.

This could help beginners who are learning Gaea by making it easier to find existing discussions, workflows, and solutions through search engines before actively participating in the community.

In addition, public access would allow AI tools such as ChatGPT or other assistants to reference forum discussions when helping users troubleshoot issues or understand common workflows. This can improve learning efficiency, reduce repeated questions, and extend the value of community knowledge.

To address potential concerns about content sharing, it could be possible to restrict or hide attachments, images, and external links from non-logged users, while keeping text discussions publicly readable.

Login would still be required for posting and interaction, while read-only access could serve as a long-term, searchable knowledge base.

Thank you for considering this suggestion and for supporting the Gaea community.

Hi

Thanks for your suggestions!

The forums are publicly accessible. You only need to login to post or react, or participate in chat.

I’ll see if we can add a link on each discussion that can send the conversation to ChatGPT and/or Claude. We just did it in the documentation.

Please, do not let any AI interfere with this new forum.

There will be no AI on the forums.

The link I meant is like this:

https://chat.openai.com/?q=Read%20https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.gaea.app%2Fui%20and%20answer%20questions%20about%20the%20content

It literally opens the current page in ChatGPT (or Claude) and tells it to read the page.

It is still feeding them human behaviors…
