Support for AMD cpu's?

Hi Everyone,

I am wondering after seeking on the net/forums how to get Gaea to recognize my AMD CPU for builds.

My system stats are below. Tried installing AMD adrenaline. But I think that was not the correct road to go down. Blender application lets me utilize my cpu, and GPU/ Nvidia RTX 4080. just wondering about Gaea’s use oof this CPU Brand.

Thanks way in advance,

Randy

Does the enforce optimal settings work? ( And restart)

I am using an AMD CPU and never seen this :scream:.
It could be that the configuration wasn’t properly picked up on install

Also looking more at this this is the HIP scoring, not actually the CPU doing it’s thing you’re using your CPU a lot in Gaea, so unless your builds are failing this computer screen shouldn’t be inherently causing issues. But it does seem to want a certain firmware range to run the test.

Hi Ty,

That was a great thing to try, after restart of Gaea it still gives me the same error. “Requires driver update” And MSI afterburner for the AMD Radeon says it’s up to date. Updating the chipset right now through adrenalin.

No change. It says it’s o n the latest driver with the AMD adrenalin prog. Yet Blender 5 detects it.

This is weird….

The good news is, it’s just working, it’s just not being recognised n the compute performance test, Gaea is still using it.

It might be worthwhile sending a bug report titled
Compute: CPU not recognised

and send your diagnostic share code.

Strange..
However, looking at your GPU (RTX 4080) , I’m not sure if the use of your AMD would increase performances.

Thanks all

The bug report number is F2D-20260524 which I sent over to support.

Thanks,

Randy
