Waterfalls Node

Hi quadspinner team,

I wanted to suggest a generator for adding watterfalls (would need to work with all water nodes so you can do larger waterfalls, waterfalls at the edge of a lake depending on the nearest lowest geometry (for example))

This could use settings for adjusting amount, distance between each other (min-max height) (min-max width), how the waterfall influences the river delta around it, errorsion parameters so the geometry makes sense later and parameters where they are generated ofc)

Rivers are great and all but adding slopes to them automatically could really produce some great results much more easily.

I do recommend exporting some more “vertical” nodes with river attached, you can get some pretty good lake elevation differences with rivers between as well, for suitable waterfalls

I’m often making waterfalls from just a river node honestly.

It’s sensible to give yourself a max limit of 75° of slope, due to the limitations of top down projection.

You maybe also be able to create some mask data to help you decide where and how a waterfall starts and ends depending on how you plan on using it at the end.
