I know this question has probably been asked half a million times and plus some more, but I’m wondering if anyone has advice on blending terrain pieces in a way that’s more conversative?
It’s the conservative part which seems to be the unique point.
I’m basically expanding upon existing terrain from an old game, so trying to preserve the same is vital for specific segments.
I have done my best getting them seemless, but there is a small stitch line and I’m wondering if anyone might have that silver bullet advice for it?
@michael0100 I would try mirroring the terrain at the edge. That will give you a clean match along the old landscape. Draw a short falloff mask onto the new landscape to preserve the edge. Then you can blend in your new terrain much safer.
On the mirrored landscape for blending: You can do some processing on it such as blending it to a flat plane or bending it down. Both to sort of tuck the blend into the target and then under it.
